9 ways tell you how to improve ball mill efficiency

Ball mill is the key machine in the grinding stage, how to improve its efficiency is very important.
1. Change the grindability of raw ore
The hardness, toughness, dissociation and structural defects of the raw ore determine the difficulty of grinding.
In production, if you encounter more difficult ores or require fine grinding, you can consider adopting new processing techniques to change the grindability of the ore:
One method is to add certain chemicals in the grinding process to improve the grinding effect and increase the grinding efficiency;
Another method is to change the grindability of the ore, for example, heating each mineral in the ore to change the mechanical properties of the entire ore and reduce the hardness.
2. More broken and less grinding
The efficiency of ore crushing is significantly higher than that of ore grinding. The energy consumption of ore crushing is lower, which is 12% to 25% of the energy consumption of grinding.
To reduce the feed particle size of the ore grinding, the product size of the crushed ore is required to be small, that is, to "more crush and less grind".
3. Reasonable filling rate
Many mines currently set the filling rate at 40%~50%
When the ball mill rotates at a certain speed and the filling rate is large, the steel ball will hit the material more times, the grinding area is large, the grinding effect is strong, but the power consumption is also large, and the filling rate is too high, which will easily cause the steel ball to move. Changes have taken place to reduce the impact on large-particle materials.
4. Reasonable steel ball size and ratio
If the ball diameter is too large, the steel balls are too few, the probability of crushing is low, the phenomenon of over crushing is aggravated, and the particle size of the product is uneven.
The steel ball is too small, the crushing force on the ore is small, and the grinding efficiency is low.
5. Precise refill ball
In production, the grinding action of the steel ball and the ore will cause the wear of the steel ball, leading to changes in the ratio of the steel balls of various sizes, affecting the grinding process and causing changes in the fineness of the grinding products. Therefore, reasonable steel ball compensation is required. Only by adding systems can production be stable.
6. Reasonable and appropriate grinding concentration
The size of the grinding concentration affects the specific gravity of the pulp, the degree of adhesion of the mineral particles around the steel ball and the fluidity of the pulp.
In production practice, the grinding concentration is often controlled by controlling the amount of ore supplied to the mill, or the amount of water supplied to the mill, or adjusting the classification effect, controlling the particle size composition and moisture in the grading returned sand.
7. Optimize the grinding process
On the one hand, reducing the amount of grinding, on the other hand, early recovery of useful minerals.
In actual production, the grinding process can be optimized according to the ore properties of the original ore, such as the distribution particle size of useful minerals, the degree of monomer dissociation, and the distribution particle size of gangue minerals. Such as pre-throwing, pre-concentration, stage grinding, pre-grading and other operations to optimize the grinding system.
8. Improve classification efficiency
The use of two-stage classification or improved classification equipment can improve classification efficiency.
High classification efficiency means that qualified particles can be discharged in a timely and efficient manner, while low classification efficiency means that most of the qualified particles are not discharged and returned to the mill for re-grinding, which is likely to cause over-grinding, which affects the later selection effect .
9. Appropriately increase the grading return sand ratio
The returned sand ratio is the ratio of the returned sand volume of the ball mill to the raw ore feed volume, and its size directly affects the mill productivity. One way to increase the returned sand ratio in the dressing plant is to increase the original ore feed volume, and the other way is to reduce the shaft height of the spiral classifier.
However, the improvement of the sand return ratio has a certain limit. When it increases to a certain value, the mill productivity increases very little, and the total ore feed rate of the mill is close to the maximum processing capacity of the mill, which is likely to cause belly ups. Therefore, the sand return ratio should not be too large.
2) Remove the secondary grouting layer corroded by the oil, and re-bury the anchor bolts, then adjust the mill, and then tighten the anchor bolts.
